What I am reflecting?
This week, I’m back to listening to podcasts after getting bored with a heavy audiobook. I tuned in to my favourite podcaster, Tim Ferriss—specifically his interview with Charlie Houpert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxkjMnSCg3k
The episode discusses the success of The 4-Hour Work Week, an incredible book I highly recommend. I’ve read it more than five times!
Charlie shared his journey of building an online course, and two key points stood out:
- Give your best. Create the absolute best course you can. When you sell something great, you gain the confidence to promote it without feeling like you’re begging. Perception becomes your projection—so always do your best.
- Co-create with your audience. Charlie suggests letting your audience share their pain points, then voting on the top three they want to learn about. You can deliver early lessons on those topics and use the same pain points in your marketing. I plan to apply this approach to my Resilience with HeartMath class.
It’s an amazing episode. If you’re into personal growth and becoming your best self, I highly recommend following Tim Ferriss.
Quote I’m pondering
“Train like you’re going to a competition.”
This quote from Tim Ferriss inspires me in everything I want to become—whether it’s an educator sharing on YouTube or a trainer. There are micro-skills I can develop to improve. Adopting the mindset of training as if I’m preparing for a competition is a true game changer.
