What I am reflecting?
The best time of my life.
I am in Korea. This is the first time I’ve set foot here, and I’ve come across so many things—like the variety of Korean strawberries.
When I look around, especially outside the busy city areas, the structure here feels very different. I can see small towns, not much traffic on the road, and overall, it feels quite peaceful. I find it pretty nice here.
When I’m in Seoul, in a place that I’m not familiar with, I experience many things that I’m not used to. One of the biggest challenges is getting around. I have absolutely no idea what the signboards say, and I’m not always able to communicate easily with the locals, as many of them don’t speak much English.
Because of that, I rely heavily on the local map app, KakaoMap. Whenever I want to go somewhere, I’ll key in the destination—sometimes I still check with Google Maps as well—and the map will usually show me a blue line.
It’s actually very simple. All I need to do is follow that blue line.
There are two important things on the map. First, there’s a dot or arrow that shows where I am right now—my current location. Then, at the end of the blue line, that’s my destination—the place I want to go.
As I walk along this blue line, something interesting happens.
Sometimes I come across places that catch my attention. Sometimes I take a small detour because I want to explore—maybe I walk into a mall or discover something unexpected. Other times, I make mistakes. I take a wrong turn, go left instead of right, and add some extra time to my journey. But eventually, I can always correct myself and get back on track.
And along the way, I often stumble upon new and interesting places—places I’ve never been before. Every journey becomes a new experience.
As I keep following the blue line, step by step, I move closer to my destination.
And that brings me to why I’m sharing this with you today.
You can do the same in your own life.
Take a moment—even just a few minutes—to pause and reflect on where you are right now. Understand your current situation, your condition, what matters to you.
Then, set a destination. It can be anything you want.
Once you set it, it’s like the map will draw a path for you—a “blue line.” It might be a long journey, or a short one. It might be clear, or uncertain. But it’s your path.
As you follow it, you may face challenges. You may not always understand everything, just like navigating in a foreign place. But along the way, you will learn—from both your successes and your mistakes.
What’s important is that you have clarity on where you want to go.
Because when you know your destination, you will keep moving toward it. Step by step, you’ll get closer.
This is just a short reflection I wanted to share.
